The Ocean Insurance Company declare a dividend of 14 per cent for the last 6 months. This dividend made 64 per cent, or $128,000 which this company have paid for the last 18 months, on a capital of $200,000.
Fires in Boston during the year 1840
12 January 1840
House No. 173 Tremont Street opposite the Tremont House. The fire was confined to the upper part of the house, and most of the furniture was removed.
