In 1976 the Boston Redevelopment Authority published Recycled Boston, a booklet showing adaptive reuse projects of historic structures throughout the city. It lists 83 properties, with pictures and descriptions of each of the projects. I've started to map the locations of the 83 sites using Wayfaring so people can make their own little tour of the city. The map above should be fairly self explanatory: click on one of the waypoints in the map to get the text from the Recycled Boston booklet. I will be periodically updating the map until all 83 are listed and will then start to include sites done since 1976. If you have questions about any buildings, leave a comment and I will put your building on my to do list.
Note: The Massachusetts Statehouse is not part of Recycled Boston, but listed simply as a starting point.

The Sam Adams Brewery in JP occupies but one of the buildings which once was part of the Heffeneffer Brewery - I beleive the bottling building to be exact. The rest of the buildings have been renovated to include Mikes Gym (I think mikesgymjp.com), a landscaping company, the Neighborhood Development Corp., among other things I know I'm forgetting...I think 30 Germania St. is the Sam Adams location.
