Several years ago I worked on a couple of projects related to the Whaling Museum and the Historical Park. As part of them, I spent a few weeks down in New Bedford, working in some of the back rooms of the Visitor's Center, and exploring the area. I hadn't been to the Whaling Museum since high school, and I have to say that the expansion that they did is great. It's a fascinating place. The architecture around the historical park is terrific as well, especially if you get a chance to get inside some of the buildings--many of them have been wonderfully restored. Plus, Portuguese food: you can't go wrong with that. More kale soup, please.
