I've posted earlier about the historic significance of the Boston Custom House columns, which are currently threatened with removal (and destruction? I'm not certain) from the entrance of the Franklin Park Zoo. Via Derek Lumpkins, there is a meeting tonight (14 June 2006) regarding the future of the columns. The hearing will be held from 6 to 8 P.M. in the EcoCenter at the Zoo. I will try to attend and encourage everyone who can to do the same.
