You won't find a long Boston Massacre post here. Why? Because J.L. Bell at Boston 1775 has it covered. One point: a commenter at Boston 1775 asks "However, wouldn't it be fair to say that the term "massacre" was a propaganda tool? I mean, a dozen wounds and a few dead, tragic as it may be, is hardly a massacre."
If one looks at the size of Boston's population in 1770, 5 people killed then would be the equivalent of about 190 killed in Boston today. That would be a massacre by anyone's definition.
